What is Arts On Tour?
ArtsOnTour is a web and print directory of over 400 listings of professional performing touring artists, managers and performing arts agencies. The British Columbia Touring Council (BCTC) has been producing the Arts On Tour Directory in various forms for over 30 years.

What will the listing include and how will a presenter find my listing?
Online: The ArtsOnTour listings are broken down by categories and genres within categories including agency/manager listings.

New Features for 2008 Website – The listings will be formatted in a database driven format. This will offer better search features, quicker updates. Addition of “home base” search for each group / artist. Photos will be added to all listings at no additional cost. Still offered is the ability to repeat full webpage listings from AOT 2007.

Here’s The New Deal:

For Agencies/Managers: Agents and managers will have their own listing on the website (as part of membership) and then, depending on their membership type, can opt to have their artists listed in the genre-specific sections with a full webpage including a photo.

Member Type B - Agents/Managers representing 1-3 artists - 2 free listings with 2 photos (one listing must be for the agency or manager in the Agency/ Manager genre)

Member Type C - Agents/Managers representing 4 or more artists - 3 free listings with 3 photos (one listing must be for the agency or manager in the Agency/ Manager genre)

Artist Listings: One full listing which will include name, and short description which then will link to a detailed web page containing full contact information, a 300 word description and photo.

Artistic Companies - theatre/dance/etc: 2 full listings which will include name, and short description which then will link to a detailed web page containing full contact information, a 300 word description and photo.

All extra webpages with photos will be $10.00 each for ALL Member Types.

Presenters will be directed to the website through regular and special email campaigns, e-newsletters and direct mail reminders promoting the directory.
Once on the site, a presenter will be able to look through the listings of agents/managers and artists. The listings are organized by genres and sub categories within genres and adult and family classifications.
If interested, a presenter can then click on the artist's name and be taken to an individual web page that will include all the contact information for the artist (including links to an artist's own web page), photo and a description of up to 300 words about the artist.
