A tour-de-force virtuosic of fiddle, dance & song!

While April Verch is perhaps best known for playing traditional fiddle styles from her native Ottawa Valley, Canada, her performances extend into old-time American, Scandinavian styles and beyond.

April Verch’s 12th recording, due for release in 2019, is a celebration of beloved classic country music from the 50’s & 60’s. April recruited Doug Cox as producer and Bil VornDick as engineer to record the album in Nashville. The record will feature a full country band including some legendary musicians who helped shape this influential era of music (Redd Volkaert, Al Perkins, The Time Jumpers fiddlers, among others). 

April’s live show will continue to be an enchanting mix of traditional music styles ranging from her native Ottawa Valley, to those classic country covers, old time & Appalachian gems, Scandinavian folk traditions, and originals rounding out the program.

The April Verch Band’s forte is weaving these genres together with engaging stories and an obvious passion for the music, providing the audience with a journey to places and people they won’t soon forget
