In 2009 Jaclyn was honored to be the recipient of a CBC Galaxie Rising Star Award from her very first performance at a jazz festival, the Vancouver International Jazz Festival and has been setting good stride since then. She has toured throughout Europe, Canada and the United States. She has had the pleasure of studying with some of the world’s best jazz singers which include American vocal luminaries Nancy King, Jay Clayton and Sheila Jordan. Jaclyn started her career at the age of 10 performing in musicals as a triple threat performer, being equally talented as a dancer, singer and actress. She had a successful professional career of 15 years performing musicals worldwide. Her former training as an award winning tap dancer and classically trained opera singer gave her the undeniable skills and stage presence that she brings to her current music career as a jazz vocalist.

In 2011 Jaclyn released her first album, To The City. Jaclyn was invited to perform a tribute concert to Dinah Washington, which was recorded at CBC Studios for radio and tv, airing globally this summer.

In January 2014 she released a new album, The Lover's Walk, which was recorded in Belgium with her European Quartet. The music is a collaboration between pianist Bram Weijters and a Belgian group of musicians featuring Piet Verbist on bass, Toon Van Dionant on drums, who have contributed to her new contemporary sound. They perform entirely original music, romantic and melancholic with a touch of groove in all the right moments. This group continues to tour and perform in Europe, exploring new ideas and supporting Guillou in all facets of her spontaneous creative ideas.

In November, 2014 she released her third album, Winter For Beginners, her first appearance on Cellar Live Records. The album is produced and recorded by Canada's celebrated trumpet player, Brad Turner and features her exquisite quintet and good friends Bruno Hubert on piano, David Blake on guitar, James Meger on bass and Andrew Millar on drums with special guests Peggy Lee on cello, Neelamjit Dhillon on tabla and Brad Turner on trumpet/flugelhorn. This is her most conceptual work to date and it explores the roles of of nature, the four seasons and how people respond and react to each other in their surroundings. Almost all of the compositions and lyrics are written by Guillou.
