Milot, described
as "very refined" artist by La Presse,

has an impeccable technique and is such a colourful
and powerful musician that she challenges all the
clichés
about her instrument.

including the prestigious Prix'd Europe 2008, becoming
the first harpist in almost 100 years to receive
this honour. In 2005, she was a laureate at the American

in November 2008 the Special Prize for best interpretation
of a contemporary work in the International harp
Competition of the Citédes Arts in Paris.
Valérie's career as a soloist and chamber musician
has been consistently rising over the past 2 years.
In July 2008, she travelled to Amsterdam to perform
Raga, a work for two harps with the composer, Canadian
harpist Caroline Lizotte, as part of the 2008 World
Harp Congress. In 2009, she gave recitals at the
Lanaudière
international festival and Lachine festival. During
the 2009-2010 season, among other projects, she was
a guest soloist with Les Violons du Roy, the SMCQ

du Canada. Also, her first recording, "Revelation",
was released under the prestigious label Analekta.
