Children's Artist of the Year in the 2013 Western Canadian Music Awards, Rick brings music and laughter to audiences of all ages down the street, across the country and around the world.

Singer, songwriter, actor and storyteller, he’s performed his lively participatory concerts in nine countries, accompanying himself on Appalachian dulcimer.

His eight children's CDs have earned three Juno nominations and Parents' Choice, NAPPA Gold, Family Choice and Canadian Folk Music Awards. Rick is Goodwill Ambassador for the Down Syndrome Research Foundation and curator of the Protection Island Museum.

In 2014 he premiered MY SYMPHONY, an educational program introducing children to orchestra with 44 musicians, a 45 voice choir and the Vancouver Island Symphony. The show will be reprised at the Port Theatre in Nanaimo every February until 2018.

In 2012 he released THE GREAT GAZZOON - A Tall Tale With Tunes and Turbulence’, a 4 CD musical audio novel in collaboration with writer/producer Valley Hennell and illustrator Linda Sanborn, featuring 25 actors, singers and musicians and 50 original paintings. It was honoured with 2013 Western Canadian Music,Family Choice and Parents' Choice Approved Awards.

Rick is available for concerts, inspirational keynotes, musical readings and songwriting workshops.
