LENTIC:  a new project by Ember Swift

To say Ember Swift's new project entitled "Lentic" is a case where East meets West may be a cliché, but there is nothing stale about this bold and beautiful new music.  Featuring Chinese instrumentation and lyrics sung in Ember's jazzy, luminous vocals in both Mandarin and English, this is truly a unique musical representation of two countries: China and Canada.  Both acoustic and electronic, Lentic is a highly original blend of organic folk and beats 'n grooves, and its five member band is as extraordinary and culturally diverse as its music. 
 
Ember Swift has been touring nationally and internationally since 1996, and has released 9 albums. She has a wealth of experience conducting a wide range of workshops, offering topics such as Art & Activism, Women in Independent Music and Songwriting. Lentic represents a new body of work and a new beginning for this established name in Canadian music.
